Antique Rosewood Box

1900 - 1920
Description

A good quality Rosewood box dating from the early 20th Century. It has metal corners, edging and a matching cartouche and escutcheon and it comes with its original working key. The lock is engraved "Secure Lever. London Hand Made". It is completely empty inside and would make a great jewellery, document or keepsake box.

It is in excellent condition for its age and has been very well made and well looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
