Description

A very good mid 19thc shaped snuff box, made out of fruitwood with a sliding lid and brass stud decoration. When I purchased it I was surprised to find a previous owner had been using it as a grease box, which in a way is pleasing as it was still being used, but for a different purpose....the grease was removed easily and it only helped to give this desirable little box a wonderful colour and patination..!
