Gorgeous 18th Cent. Shaped Tea Caddy

Description

Gorgeous 18th century George 3rd mahogany and satinwood ogee shaped tea caddy. Mahogany veneered ogee shaped body with a boxwood and ebony chequered line inlay to the base and standing on original shaped brass bracket feet. The top section has a boxwood or satinwood thumb mould with a satinwood veneered top and a fancy boxwood & ebony line inlay. The caddy has its original gilded brass rococo swan neck handle to the top. The caddy has its original divisions inside with old replacement Edwardian brass working lock. The caddy would originally have had three lift out brass or toleware tea canisters inside. Lovely colour.
