Antique Silver Plated & Oak Biscuit Box C1880

Description

This is a smart antique oak biscuit box with silver plated mounts. This is square shaped standing on four silver plated stepped feet. The corners are mounted with shaped silver plate with two swing handles, it has a silver plated band at the top plus another around the lid. The finial is modelled as a sphinx. This retains its original square milk glass liner. This has been resilvered. c1880 British made

Height excluding finial: 16.5cm (6.5")
