Arundel Clocks has dated this French Gilt Mantle Clock to the 1890s.
I have for sale a 1890 solid brass French crystal regulator mantel clock that is in original condition for the age with an original gilded case and fully serviced eight day striking movement run via the original pendulum, what sets this clock apart from others is the lager size of the clock and the rare green marble inset panels and front it is very unique.

The Case
The case is in solid shiny brass with it is a very heavy clock standing 37cm high x 23cm wide with a depth of 17cm it is in very good original condition and has been very well looked after over the years, with 10 nil thick bevelled marble on all four sides the front and back are doors which both open with ease all in mint condition.

The Dial

all set off with the gilt Roman numerals, the original gilt ornate hands and original pendulum and original key are still present.
The front gilded work catches the sun against the green plate which looks simply beautiful on display.

The Movement
The movement is an eight day time and strike striking the hours and halves on a small sweet silver bell a real quality movement, which still retains the original key and brass pendulum.
The movement keeps good time over the eight days; she was fully stripped down ultra sonic cleaned new springs hand polished then all screws re-blued plus the gong then oiled tested and run in 2010.

Overall a very beautiful rare clock in its original condition that’s looking great on display keeping great time.
My photos do not reflect its pure class and beauty hence the different locations I tried to take them.
I will post worldwide at your risk but collection would be best.
