A 19th century ornate gilded French Mantel Clock - Stamped on the movement by the maker Dehné of Paris. It has an ornate gilded brass case with extensive foliage and floral decoration. It stands on four integral gilded feet.
The 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a bell, with hairspring/rear screw fast/slow adjustment. The white enamel dial has Roman numerals and elaborate black moon hands. It bears the serial number ''849'' which is stamped on the rear of the movment and on the matching pendulum. It comes with a key (probably not original) and it is sold in full working order, guaranteed for 12 months.
