Antique Edwardian Rosewood Inlaid Music Cabinet
A Fine quality music cabinet in an amazing original condition.
We are delighted to bring to you one of the finest examples of a rare Edwardian (circa 1890) music cabinet made from fine figured Rosewood. This highly elegant cabinet is in an outstanding original condition featuring its very ornate floral marquetry Boxwood inlays throughout. The cabinet has its original glazed French polished finish throughout complete with its idyllic rich Rosewood original colour. The glazed and moulded framed door is lockable via its original lock and original key, the cabinet is complete with its ornate original brass polished dropper handle incorporating the keyhole escutcheon. The door is flanked either side by boxwood stringings which follows throughout the door and the top . Unlocking and opening the door reveals its 4 shelves.
We have sympathetically restored, carefully cleaned and waxed this cabinet, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen and the item is ready for its new home.
Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
