Description

A beautiful flamed mahogany jewellery box. Once started life as a double lid tea caddy but has been beautifully transferred into a fine jewellery box with a superb lift-out tray. The exterior wood being flamed mahogany and banded & stringing in boxwood. The centre comprises of a typical Georgian shell setting the tone for this delightful piece. Two ring roll compartments for storing delicate jewellery items. This example dates to c.1800 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
