English High Quality Solid Sterling Silver Snuff Box 1950 48g

1940 - 1960
Description

A beautiful English solid sterling silver snuff box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1950 with the makers marks being that of D Bros. It has been superbly designed being engine turned with a vacant cartouche. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, small dark mark to the gilding inside - see final photo. The lid shuts tight and the inside is gilded. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.8cm) across by over 1.5 inches (4cm) wide by 0.5 inch (1.2cm) deep and weighs 48 grams. A very high quality clean example.
