A rare Victorian silver tinder box. This wonderful collectors piece has a rectangular body and hinged lid, with an aperture for the wick which would have been braided silk. The internal compartment would probably have been used to contain flints/matches and the interior is gilded. There is a hinged lid to the top, which has an attaching ring and a raised striker to the side. A rare and interesting collector''s piece. Dimensions below.
