This is a very interesting and decorative Qajar casket with hand beaten metal work detail dating from the mid 19th Century. The brass mounted casket has a dome top and repousse lion hunting scenes embellished throughout the piece with contrasting metal cabochons. The casket is beautifully embossed with chariots, archers and warriors to all the panels with fine detail. The casket measures 32 cms wide 24 cms high and 17 cms deep.
