An attractive brass bound domed burr walnut writing slope that dates to around 1840
In great original condition, in a medium brown waxed finish with a strong burr configuration, brass banding and corners and a coromandel and ebony interior
With an antique black, with gold tooling replacement leather and a set of brass screw top inkwells.
It has a circular brass cartouche and escutcheon with brass outer rings on both
Has a Bramar lock with its original key and a lock on one of the writing boards also with a working key
A divider next to the left inkwell can be raised which releases a sprung panel to reveal two secret drawers

A fine quality slope which would make a nice present for a loved one that would grace a period or contemporary home
