Victorian Mahogany Brass Bound Writing Slope

19th century
Description

A mahogany brass bound writing slope that dates to around 1850

In excellent original condition, in a nice rich brown waxed finish with a replacement antique black and gold embossed leather skiver. It has a brass escutcheon and a cartouche which is blank so could be engraved with the new owners name

Comes with its original brass top inkwell ( and a dip pen ) and has a working lock and key

Measures 12 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 6 inches high

A very attractive item that would make a nice present for a loved one in a period or contemporary home
