This lovely red leather bound book looks just like an old antique book from the outside, with pages in the centre section. The spine is decorated with gilded boats and titled ''Tiflle ForJemima''.
Inside the front coverit is marbled as you would expect. When you turn the next page there is an internal compartment for storing items and a label Jemima Bryant 1823.
These were popular to store valuables in and place amongst proper books on a book shelf.
The book box measures 21cm h x 13.5cm w x 3.2cm d.
