Description

An exceptional quality and stylish pair of Victorian aesthetic movement inverted break front ebonised Pier Display Cabinets/Bookcases. The cabinets have carved gilded decoration with two half turned fluted gilded columns to each side with bronze gilt Corinthian mounts to the top and bottom. There is ormolu beaded moulding around the inner edge of the doors and the tops have an inlaid thuya wood, boxwood and ebony string inlay.

Inside the cabinets are fitted with two glass shelves and they have been re-lined in a pearl coloured velvet.

The pair of cabinets are attributed to the cabinet makers:-
