Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This late Georgian Welsh oak floor standing corner cupboard is constructed in two parts from warm brown timber. The upper section has a moulded ogee cornice above two recessed shaped panel cupboard doors, and the lower section contains three figured oak fronted drawers above a recessed panel cupboard. Both sections open to reveal shelved interiors. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet and is detailed with turned brass knobs and key escutcheons. Practical storage is provided by the upper and lower cupboards alongside the three drawers. The entire unit measures 189 cm high, 100 cm wide, and 74 cm deep. In a modern home, this corner cupboard serves as display and storage furniture in a living room, dining room, or hallway, fitting neatly into room corners to utilise vertical space while adding rustic farmhouse character to the interior.

FAQs

Designed to optimise floor space, these two-part storage cabinets feature traditional Welsh joinery, raised arch-panel doors, and solid oak construction typical of the Georgian era.

They were predominantly crafted from local solid Welsh oak, incorporating pegged mortise and tenon joinery, fielded panel doors, and hand-turned knobs or brass escutcheons.

Look for hand-sawn timber marks, original wooden joinery pegs, fielded arch panel construction, historic iron or brass keyhole escutcheons, and a two-section modular design.

Positioned in an underutilised dining room or living space corner, it introduces historical texture, warm timber tones, and functional storage that contrasts effectively with modern decor.

Preserve the original patina by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year while keeping the piece away from direct heat sources.
