The bottom section has two burr walnut panelled cupboards with a shaped shelf inside. In the middle of this cabinet is a pull out slide which has a mirror inset. I would say it dates to around the 1920's period. I've just had it polished & it has a lovely mellow colour. There are wonderful carvings on the top & bottom sections, while the solid walnut shaped ball & claw feet are exquisite. There are also locks to both sections & there is a beautiful etched brass escutcheon on the bottom doors.
