Why Sellingantiques dated this piece to THE EDWARDIAN ERA:
Turned spindle galleries on the undertier: fashionable decorative detail around 1905.
Small brass castors on splayed legs: drawing-room mobility from the early twentieth century.
Shaped top with re-entrant cut corners: profile popular on turn-of-the-century parlour tables.

This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.

Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Edwardian occasional table stands on curved feet with brass castors and features a rectangular top above a low slatted undertier. Rendered in a rich mid-brown mahogany timber with a polished finish, the piece shows characteristic period wood grain alongside decorative turned spindles supporting the lower shelf. Delicate moulded edges define the table top, while slender upright supports frame the open structure of the base. Measuring 69 cm high, 91 cm wide and 45 cm deep, the table fits comfortably into a living room or hallway as a display surface for lamps, books or decorative objects. The open lower tier provides additional space for storage or arrangement, making it a practical and versatile addition to both traditional and contemporary domestic interiors.
