Edwardian glassware, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often features refined craftsmanship influenced by earlier Victorian ornate designs but moves towards lighter, more elegant proportions.

These glasses are traditionally crafted from lead crystal or flint glass, which provided the clarity, weight, and refractive qualities necessary for precise hand-cutting and polishing.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-cut facets with slight irregularities, a polished pontil mark on the underside of the base, and the characteristic weight and ring of high-lead content crystal.

Antique crystal can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, used on a bar cart to introduce textural contrast, or integrated into a formal tablescape to mix historic craftsmanship with contemporary minimalism.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in warm water using mild detergent, avoiding harsh scrubbing and sudden temperature changes, and dried immediately with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots.
