A syllabub glass is a historical stemware vessel specifically designed for serving syllabub, a popular dairy-based dessert made during the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Georgian glassware was predominantly crafted from lead glass or lime glass, often using blowing techniques combined with ribbed or moulded patterns to achieve distinctive geometric shapes.

Authentic pieces often exhibit pontil marks on the underside, minor surface irregularities, tiny air bubbles within the glass matrix, and the characteristic greyish tone of early lead glass.

These pieces can be displayed singly or in groups on open shelving, within glass-fronted cabinets, or used functionally on a dining table to add historical texture to modern schemes.

Antique glass should be washed by hand in lukewarm water using a mild, non-abrasive detergent, and dried carefully with a lint-free cloth to protect the delicate surface.
