This is a superb antique Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver trinket /table box measuring 4” (10 cms) across x 3" (7.5 cms) and 1 1/2” (3.5 cms) high.

The lid has a beautiful embossed floral decoration with no inscriptions or monograms.

It is gilded inside and weighs 194.3 grams / 6.2 troy oz and is hallmarked for London 1901 with the silversmiths mark for Mappin & Webb and is also marked underneath 'Mappin & Webb, London'.

This is a lovely quality box in excellent condition and will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
