A nice quality 19th Cent bracket clock by W Carpenter, London.
It is in mahogany with ebony decoration. To the sides are silk lined fish scale sound frets and smart cornucopia gilt brass handles. It stands on its original brass ball feet and has a ball finial to the top.
The good quality twin fusee movement has an enameled dial and smart moon hands. It strikes the hours on a coiled gong.
The case is in good unrestored condition but does have the odd minor knock and mark assiciated with age and use.
The movement is in good condition, running well and keeping good time. The dial has a few small areas where it has been touched in but generaly presents well.
