Antique Single Fusee Inlaid Balloon Cased Mantel Clock With Silvered Dial.
This lovely antique single fusee mantel clock has a beautiful “balloon” shaped case. The case is mahogany with lovely cross banding as well as an array of intricate inlay to the front. Finally the case is finished by a moulding around the bottom edge and four shaped brass feet to the bottom.
The dial is then silvered and set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The centre of the dial is then beautifully engraved. The dial is then finished by a lovely bevelled glass set into a brass bezel as well as two shaped hands.
The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a fully working fusee example of the upmost quality and comes complete with its regulating pendulum and winding key.
It measures approximately:
- 16.25” / 41.5cm Tall.
- 10” / 25.5cm Wide.
- 7” / 18cm Deep.
