Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Rose Medallion is a style of Chinese export porcelain produced primarily in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It features central medallion panels depicting birds, insects, and floral sprays, often enclosed within patterned borders of pink and green enamels.

These items were crafted from kaolin clay fused at high temperatures to create hard-paste porcelain. Decorative elements were added using overglaze enamel paints and gilt accents applied before a final low-temperature firing.

Authentic pieces generally show slight unevenness in the porcelain glaze, hand-painted brushwork with raised enamel texture, and age-appropriate wear to gilding on handles or rims. They frequently lack modern factory stamps and may feature unglazed foot rims showing refined clay.

A pair of decorative porcelain vases can be placed symmetrically on a sideboard, console table, or fireplace mantelpiece. Their detailed patterns provide a classical counterpoint to minimalist furniture and modern neutral palettes.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. If cleaning is necessary, use lukewarm water with a mild pH-neutral detergent, avoiding abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that could strip the overglaze enamels and gilding.
