A William IV 8 Day Dial Wall Clock by Thwaites & Reed

Description

A William IV dial wall clock by Thwaites & Reed, the narrow reeded mahogany surround with a hinged door with cast brass bezel and convex glass, over a 12 inch painted dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track and black spade hands; the eight day movement with shaped backplate and single fusee train, the inner plate stamped T&R, complete with pendulum and key.

English circa 1835

Condition: Overall very good; the mahogany surround bears marks commensurate with age; the movement has been fully serviced and is in full working condition. The back of the dial has scratched and dated markings relating to past servicing.
