Late C18th George III Sheraton period mahogany wall-hanging corner cupboard.
 
Smart architecturally-influenced design mahogany corner cupboard with extensive inlaid satinwood decoration and surmounted by a ''broken-arch'' swan-neck pediment . The canted corner sides with broad satinwood inlaid classical fluted pilaster decoration ''stop-fluted'' detail . The door with satinwood stringing and ''bats-wing'' inlaid spandrel corners . The centre of the cornice /pediment with an oval oak-leaf and acorn inlaid patera.
 
High quality throughout with stepped mouldings around the base and brass rosettes to the pediment . The interior with shaped shelves and later dark green painted decoration (can be re-finished to client''s specification) .
 
Excellent colour and patina , the rich mahogany forming a striking contrast with the paler satinwood . Probably made in the Northern counties of England .
