19th Century Japanese Komai Style Miniature Cabinet

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this decorative miniature Japanese cabinet finished in a damascened style of decoration in the manner of the world famous Komai factory, the cabinet is predominatly decorated with traditional Japanese village and landscape scenes, however the rear of the cabinet is nicely decorated with a coiled dragon as indeed are the inside of the doors , the interior houses a little drawer (liner missing) and a shelf arrangement , a great affordable piece of decorative metalware from the Meiji period .
The condition is very good , the cabinet is a solid construction , clean and perfectly useable with minor expected movement to the bracket feet joints and the drawer liner missing .
