E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The pair of panelled doors having double strung frames the panels with central diamond shaped banding with further strung frames. Ormulo escutcheons and door moulding. The velvet lined interior having 2 shelves with stringing to fronts. Ormulo mounts to top and bottom of side stiles also having stringing. The ends both with stringing as has the plinth base sitting on turned ebonised feet.
