Description

An absolutely magnificent and outstanding mahogany wall clock by T.HANMAN of GLOUCESTER.

The twin-fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell, with a beautifully crisp, resonating tone. It has just been fully cleaned and serviced by our BHI registered horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

The quality mahogany case retains it's original french-polished finish, with a beautiful age related patina that only age can produce. It has a glazed ventricle through which the pendulum can be seen working. Also a key lockable door to the base and inspection door to the side.

The 12" white painted dial has black Roman numerals with a minute mark track to the outer. The makers details are clearly defined. It is enclosed by a brass, glazed bezel.

Hanman is recorded in "Loomes Clock Makers of the World" as working in Gloucester between 1861 -1885.

Keeping perfect time and supplied with all original keys.

Seldom does one come across a clock that is in such perfect, original condition.
