Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mid-18th century Georgian glassware is known for hand-blown lead crystal construction, distinctive stem decorations such as air twists, tears, or knops, and practical shapes including trumpet and bell bowls.

English glassmakers used lead oxide combined with silica and potash to produce heavy, bright flint glass, which allowed for brilliant clarity and high refractive qualities when hand-blown.

Authentic pieces typically feature a rough or polished pontil mark on the base, minor asymmetry from hand-blowing, a greyish or dark tint to the lead glass, and natural wear patterns around the folded or plain foot rim.

Antique glassware can be styled on a dining room sideboard, arranged inside a glazed display cabinet, or grouped on a vintage bar cart to add texture and historical dimension to contemporary settings.

Wash drinking glasses individually by hand in lukewarm water using mild dish soap, avoiding extreme temperature changes and dishwashers which cause clouding or thermal shock.
