Description

An elegant Edwardian mahogany open bookcase of pleasing proportions, beautifully constructed and retaining a rich, warm mahogany colour throughout. The moulded cornice is decorated with satinwood crossbanding and centred by a finely inlaid oval panel to the frieze, providing a subtle decorative contrast to the figured mahogany veneers.

The interior is arranged with one fixed shelf and three adjustable shelves, each with attractively shaped fronts and finely banded edges. The adjustable shelves are supported by the original shelf system, allowing flexibility for books and decorative objects of varying sizes. The well-figured mahogany backboards display particularly attractive grain patterns, adding depth and character to the interior.

Raised on elegant bracket feet united by a shaped apron.
