18th Cent Walnut Longcase Grandfather Clock

£595    $803    €695
A lovely early 18th Cent Longcase clock by John Bronson, Martham.

The case is in nicely figured walnut with chevron banding. As would be expected for this period all the moulding are cross grain. The long door has a working lock and key.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a smart brass dial with silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. It also has a subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes and a date indicator.

The case is has been restored so is now in good condition. However it is now around 300 years old and shows some signs of shrinkage and wear.

The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.

Free local delivery and set up (60mls). National and international delivery arranged at cost.
