Georgian Scarce Double Series Opaque Twist Wine Glass, Triple Knop

This is a scarce Georgian, English, double series opaque twist wine glass with triple knops dating from the second half of the 18th century, c1765.
 
The glass is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the foot commensurate with some 250 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the foot.
 
 
The glass has a bell-shaped bowl measuring 7.2 cm (2.9 inches) in diameter at the rim. The bowl sits on a double series opaque twist stem consisting of a four triple white enamel ''cotton'' strands wound around a central gauze with shoulder medial and basal knops. The stem ends in a conical foot which measures 7.3 cm (2.9 inches) in diameter. The glass is 17.5 cm (7 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration.
