A fine antique French vitrine cabinet in richly figured walnut, dating from circa 1910 and executed in the Louis XVI Revival taste. The cabinet is beautifully embellished with hand-painted porcelain plaques depicting classical pastoral scenes, framed by finely cast gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts.
The shaped glazed door opens to a velvet-lined interior fitted with glass display shelves, ideal for the presentation of porcelain, glassware, silver or decorative objets d’art. The faēade is further enriched with pierced ormolu mounts, beaded mouldings and a shaped apron, all standing on elegant cabriole legs with ormolu mounts.
A refined and highly decorative display cabinet with strong visual presence, combining craftsmanship, elegance and timeless French design.
