A fine Charles X ormolu and crystal portico striking eight-day mantel clock. Circa 1825. Temple shape incorporating four cut crystal columns with further cut crystal top and base with ormolu mounts, all raised on four feet. Gilded bronze dial with �Breguet hands� within a floral bezel. Dial signed Breguet a Paris. Movement and pendulum stamped with matching numbers.The eight day French movement with original pendulum, striking on the bell on the hour and half hour. The movement having been professionally overhauled and serviced. The case of the clock is in excellent condition with a few minor chips to the crystal commensurate with age.
