Baggott & Co. has dated this Satin Birch Linen Press to the 19th Century.
Internally framed in contrasting red mahogany, the drawers all ash lined.

Although it is not stamped it is certainly by Holland & Sons, made to their very high standard in cabinet making and choice of materials. The satin birch is a mellow colour and uniform throughout with good figuring to the front, internally it is immaculate, the ash lined drawers are crisp and clean, the mahogany lined doors and linen press very rich by comparison. A large statement piece of furniture with proportions not found in other models of bedroom furniture. For ease of installation it dismantles into 5 parts, which are all held together by the plinth base and the top board.
