Gallé Cameo Glass Bud Vase

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a small Gallé acid-etched cameo glass vase in the red and yellow colourway dating from the beginning of the 20th century, c1910.

The vase is in excellent condition. It shows minimal age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with use.

The vase is in the baluster form in a red/ochre over amber/yellow colourway and measures 6 cm (2.4 inches) in diameter at its widest point. It is 12.8 cm (5.1 inches) in height. The vase is etched through the resist to reveal a pattern of leaves and berries and is signed "Galle". There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It does not come in its original box.

It weighs in at 175 g. (~ 6 oz.).
