An extremely fine quality small sized English mahogany month-going longcase regulator clock by William Galbraith, London, mid 20th century.
 
The beautifully proportioned, small sized (6ft tall), mahogany case with moulded cornice, canted corners to the hood and trunk, shaped trunk door and panelled base raised on a moulded plinth.
 
The latched 9½-inch engraved silvered brass dial, the shallow ogee arch signed William Galbraith London No. 141, observatory regulator dial layout with raised outer minutes ring enclosing raised subsidiary dials for seconds and hours,
 
Fine quality blued steel hands,
 
The extremely high quality and substantial movement, with six ring-turned knopped latched pillars, Graham deadbeat escapement, bolt and shutter maintaining power, high-count wheel train with six-spoke wheels. Fully serviced by our horologist.
 
The polished brass and steel cradle supporting a glass jar faux mercury pendulum with graduated regulation to the rod and beat adjustment to the crutch.
 
Polished brass cased weight with ornate spoked pulley.
 
A wonderfully made clock of the highest calibre with an exceptional quality movement fully serviced with two year mechanical guarantee.
