A desk compendium of unusually large size. This eight day clock, barometer and thermometer housed in a nickel and gilt case and mounted on a black marble base is of exceptional quality and imposing size. The crisp white enamel clock dial is marked Henri Marc, Paris. The clock movement is regulated by a platform cylinder mounted on an arched back plate with fine blued steel spade hands, housed behind a moulded silvered bezel and a frosted gilt oval mask engraved with symmetrical foliate designs to upper and lower margins, set within an oval moulded nickel finish case with bevel-glazed gilt cavetto moulded front and push-on rear cover mounted next to a matching aneroid barometer with the thermometer joining the two ovals.
