Walnut, Westminster-chime Bracket/mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb walnut bracket/mantel clock in immaculate condition throughout.

The case has fully opening front and rear doors and glazed side panels and gilded carrying handle to the top. It retains it's original French-polished finish with a lovely age-related, rich, warm patina.

The dial has a silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals, a matted gilded centre and gilded spandrels.

The 8 day movement strikes the Westminster Chime on the quarters and the number of hours on the hour. It strikes on rods, giving a very clear, crisp, tone. It is fitted with a STRIKE/SILENT button. It has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.

An absolute gem of a clock.
