Hi
I have for sale an apprentice-piece Victorian English fusee skeleton clock made around 1870s with the original gilded base and perfect dome with the ultra-fine six-spoke wheel work a really nice original genuine apprentice-built clock running via the original pendulum.
This clock has just been fully serviced so keeping good time over the eight days.
The Case
The clock is in solid brass and stands 32cm high to the top of the dome 20cm wide on the gilded base with a depth of 15cm it is in perfect condition standing on a solid wooden base which is gilded and contained in the mint old blown glass dome, it is very heavy with thick heavy plates, a top quality old clock.
The Dial
The dial is in good original condition with black Roman numerals, the clock also retains its original black/blue steel ornate hands.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time only, the movement has been fully restored new spring was added and then serviced so keeping a great time over the eight days via the original pendulum and is a chain-driven fusee movement.
The six-spoke wheel work is so fine a credit to its maker.
Overall a beautiful English skeleton clock ,that looks stunning on display and contains all of its original features this is quite a rare find these days.
If you require any more information or pictures please ask you are welcome to come and view the clock or I can send a direct WhatsApp film of the clock running if desired, as with all my clocks they will leave with a back-to-base 3-month guarantee and should you need your clock serviced in the future, of course, this would be done heavily discounted by myself, I''m always happy to buy one of my clocks back in the future should you wish to PX or simply sell on.
I will post in the UK and ,I will post worldwide but would like it collected if possible.
