Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a latch operated fully opening front door with an arched, bevel glazed, brass surround inset and shaped spandrels to the top corners. It has a brass carrying handle and stands on brass ogee bracket feet.

The silvered dial has black Arabic numerals and nicely cut hands. It has subsidiary Rise & Fall and STRIKE/SILENT dials.
The 8 day movement strikes the Westminster chime on the quarters and the number of hours on a separate coiled gong. It has just been fully refurbished by our BHI registered horologist and carries our usual 12mths full parts and labour guarantee.
