This is a wonderful an SOLID mahogany cased fusee wall clock. The movement to this clock is excellent being a very good quality fusee movement. The dial is signed with the maker ''JOYCE WHITCHURCH'' who are a renowned family of Shropshire clockmakers. J. B. Joyce & Co, clockmakers, were founded in Shropshire in England. The company claim to be the oldest clock manufacturer in the world, originally established in 1690, and have made some famous clocks including the Eastgate clock in Chester, The Chester Cathedral clock, Liverpool Lime Street clock and many more.
The case is made from wonderful SOLID mahogany which has some superb grain and is a wonderful colour. The case has a wonderful patina which can only be gained through age. The door to the base of the clock is complete with its lock and key.

The case also has a door to the base and then there is a further door to the right side which is held in place with a catch. When the movement needs to be accessed the catch is simply released to the side which then allows the pendulum to be hung easily.
