Description

Beautiful George lll Mahogany Longcase Clock with Handmade Conch Shell & Floral Inlaid Decorations.

Height 119.5cm or 78.5in (7ft 6.5in)

Though the Maker’s Name is Somewhat Rubbed, it is thought that it is for William Martin of Castle Street, Liverpool where he worked from 1795-1829. Most likely Circa 1795-1805.

The Painted Dial with “Britannia” in the Arch and Floral Decoration in the 4 Corners.

The 8 Day Movement with Seconds Hand, Date Dial (though this is disconnected) and Hour Stike on a Crisp Bell. Checked, Serviced & Tested to be in Good Working Order

The Hood with Swan Neck Pediment and Very Attractive Twist Columns.
