A magnificent and very rare antique Victorian satinwood display cabinet, beautifully made from inlaid satin wood. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1880-1890 period.
The quality is exceptional, one of the absolute best we have ever come across. There is amazing carving throughout, including the top central motif, four beautiful fluted Corinthian column supports and various other intricate carved areas. There is wonderful inlay across the top frieze and lower drawers, the drawers have stunning and very high quality brass handles. This even retains the four carved satin wood urns on each upper corner. There are two heavy glass shelves inside, and the lining looks original, it is in lovely condition with just some minor wear.
Overall this is in excellent condition for its age, with only some minor wear to be seen. There are one or two tiny areas of moulded carving that are missing here and there, barely noticeable at all.
