Rams Head Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The hood is a handsome Pagoda design with its original eagle and ball finials which have a very nice untouched antique patina to the brass. The brassware to the reeded Corinthian columns is also original with fine detail and good colour.

The five pillar movement with anchor escapement has been recently serviced and runs for eight days keeping good time and striking on a bell on the hour every hour. The 12” brass and silver dial is again high quality, with foliate chased centre and ornate cast spandrels around the silvered dial and engraved silvered name plate. This has Roman and Arabic numerals and two subsidiary dials for date and seconds.

The case has an arched panelled door with original working lock and key and is flanked by canted reeded edge detail. The panelled base is raised on a neat plinth with its original solid mahogany ogee bracket feet.
A very handsome clock in nice original order.
The clock stands 221 cms high and is 50 cms wide by 24 cms deep.
