Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The case is in nicely figured solid mahogany.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a decorative painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator. To the arch is a dial displaying the phases of the moon.
The case is in good unrestored condition and has retained its original finish. It does however have marks and knocks associated with age and use.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
