A charming antique Victorian walnut miniature pier cabinet, made in England and dating from around the 1860-1880 period.
It is extremely well made, miniature pieces like this were often by cabinet makers as a portable way for them to showcase and sell their larger scale designs. This is still a useful piece, it could be used as a table top cabinet for displaying small objects or even on the floor as a low side table. There is a locking key on the glass fronted door, this has gorgeous burr walnut grain patterns and lovely cross banding on the top.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
