A quality double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell of 8-day duration. A nice quality graduated scale pendulum adjustment. Engraved by the maker to the backplate. Circa 1825.Peter Le Gros of London is recorded in Loomes'' ''Watchmakers & Clockmakers of The World'' book as working in 1828.
