A 19th Century Burr Walnut Display Cabinet.
The useful and attractive cabinet with a rectangular top, with rounded corners, following the shape of the rounded and stepped mould edge over a shallow frieze finished with a fine bead. The four glazed sides held within ogee slips, surrounded by flat facing rails. The rails meeting the rounded corners of the body. The rails and corners inlaid with straight grain boxwood stringing. The plinth holding recessed brass castors to each corner. The front of the cabinet opening with the original lock and key to three glazed shelves.
Date circa 1850.
